Jason Residence
(2003) - Tuna Canyon, Topanga, CA
This contemporary California Bungalow style home was the result of
a collaboration between our office, an owner with two previous designs
in hand, an interior designer, and a landscape architect. The previous
designs were flat-roofed modern boxes, without character and with
no connection to the exterior environment.

The
owner desired a home which would fit into the hillside site in an
unobtrusive manner, enhance the ocean and canyon views, connect with
outdoor spaces, and be comfortable and welcoming. |

The
home responds to the site with multi-level floors which flow seamlessly
between interior and exterior spaces and views. |

Natural light
fills the interiors accentuating the finely detailed stairway and
interior balconies |
